About this role
Why now? We’ve just transitioned to a squad-based organisation built around six specialised squads: Growth, Monetisation, Trust & Safety, Data Platform, Mobile Experience, and Infrastructure & Reliability. To keep execution fast and outcome-driven across these squads, we’re opening a Head of Product role.
Where you sit. Reporting to the CTPO, you will help build and lead a team of 6 Product Managers (2 already at Yubo, 1 recently hired, and 3 yet to recruit) embedded across the squads above. You’ll own the entire product life-cycle, from discovery to delivery, while shaping company-wide strategy alongside the executive team.
Our approach to privacy
As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users. As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children's online safety, privacy and well-being.Every employee at Yubo is expected to participate in compliance with data protection regulations as well as the continuous improvement of our Privacy & Safety By Design measures.Your responsibilities
Champion outcome-driven roadmaps: define squad missions & KPIs, make sure each PM fully owns a problem space and validates the solution’s value, feasibility and impact before any build begins.
Institutionalise a rigorous discovery → delivery operating system: roll out a structured discovery framework (interviews, prototyping, testing) and keep refining sprint planning, product reviews and OKR tracking so squads ship the right things, fast.
Coach and grow the PM team: hire and onboard talent, redesign the leveling framework, craft clear career paths and provide ongoing mentorship and feedback to at least seven PMs.
Orchestrate cross-functional execution & storytelling: align Engineering, Design, Data and Business stakeholders around one plan, maintain crisp documentation and narrative that keep everyone focused on outcomes.
Measure what matters & course-correct: track product KPIs, ensure quality, diagnose gaps quickly and pivot when outcomes (not just outputs) fall short. Our technical environment / Tools we use
